Sterling Silver Care Guide

Sterling silver is a precious metal and, like all silver, may naturally tarnish over time. Tarnishing occurs when silver reacts with air, moisture, and everyday substances such as skin oils, cosmetics, or fragrances. This is a normal process and does not indicate a defect.

To help maintain the appearance of your jewellery:

  • Store your pieces in a cool, dry place, preferably in an airtight pouch or jewellery box
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to water, humidity, perfumes, lotions, and cleaning products
  • Put your jewellery on after applying cosmetics and remove it before swimming, showering, or exercising
  • Gently clean and polish with a soft, lint-free cloth to restore shine

Wearing your jewellery regularly can help slow down tarnishing, as gentle friction keeps the surface polished.

If tarnishing occurs, it can be easily removed with a silver polishing cloth or a professional silver cleaner suitable for sterling silver. With proper care, your jewellery will retain its beauty for years to come.
